7-8pm – Adult Melody Playing with a Flatpick 4-Week Course with Sam Vogt
Join us for a four part workshop series on melody playing with a flatpick in traditional music. In this series we'll examine ways of relieving tension, improving coordination between the left and right hand, and methods for unleashing your natural ability to improvise. We'll take examples from Irish fiddle tunes, bluegrass, and old-time music. A basic familiarity with your instrument will be helpful, but we can start anywhere.
